 KPL NEWS

The moment you have all been waiting for is finally here, and no, we are not referring to the weekend or any upcoming holiday that brings a twinkle to your eyes. We are talking about the greatest kite event since the dawn of mankind. While there are many great kiteboarding locations around the globe, perhaps one of the most historical and elusive is that of Hood River, Oregon, the birthplace of park riding and the pinnacle force that sustains its continuation. This year the Kite Park League is proud to announce a new partnership with THE GKA KITE WORLD TOUR to present THE QATAR AIRWAYS GKA KITE PARK LEAGUE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024. The event will be held from August 3rd - 10th and will crown this years KITE PARK WORLD CHAMPIONS in both Men and Women. Without question, this will be a week to remember and perhaps a new milestone for the KPL and its distinguished influence. Stay Tuned and be ready. As always, thank you for following along. To infinity and beyond.

Dear Beloveds,

With a heavy heart, we are wretched to share that, sadly, the 2024 Kite Park League Sicily event has been indefinitely postponed for the 2024 season. The contest, formerly slated for May 4th - May 11th, has had to be put on the back burner for the year due to a variety of unforeseen and untimely hurdles that ultimately impact the quality of our efforts and attenuate the event below our threshold of acceptance. Since its inception, the KPL has been committed to delivering its athletes, fans, sponsors, and all involved the highest quality of competition and events that can exist within competitive kiteboarding. While the circumstances that have ensued are out of our control, we are not willing to proceed with an event that is anything less than our best endeavor, as we continue to lead by example, preserving our premier standards. That being said, the entire KPL staff is doing all they can to adjust and pivot their momentum into the upcoming events. We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to our competitors, who are the lifeblood of the KPL and whose role in the events remains our core influence. For more updates and future event status, please tune into our social channels. As always, thank you for your continued support of the world’s greatest kiteboarding institution.

Don’t be upset. Feel free to lean on us; we have your back and always will.

Sincerely,

KPL Chief Editor
